Angioplasty<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), commonly known as angioplasty, involves the opening of one or more coronary arteries that exhibit significant narrowing or complete blockage. The procedure is performed using specialized balloon catheters, which are inflated to dilate the narrowed or occluded segment of the artery. This is usually followed by the placement of metal stents that help keep the artery open and maintain adequate blood flow.<\/p>\n

Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR)<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) is now considered the treatment of choice for the vast majority of patients suffering from severe aortic valve stenosis. Unlike surgical valve replacement, TAVR is a minimally invasive procedure performed through a small incision (less than 1 cm) in the groin area (femoral region). Through this access point, the native aortic valve is replaced with a bioprosthetic valve using a catheter-based technique.<\/p>\n
